This is the UN Global Compact Index 10.

THE GLOBAL COMPACT

AmorePacific joined UN Global Compact in November 2007 to take responsi-
bility as a corporate citizen and has made efforts to support and sincerely
execute 10 UNGC principles regarding human rights, environment and anti-
corruption.

UNGC Principles AMOREPACIFIC Policy
Human Rights
  • Principle 1 Businesses should support and respect the
    protection of internationally proclaimed
    human rights; and
  • Principle 2 make sure that they are not complicit in
    human rights abuses. 

Respect each employee’s individuality and treat them
fairly based upon their ability and achievement,
and create a work environment where employees can

Labor
  • Principle 3 Businesses should uphold the freedom of
    association and the effective recognition of
    the right to collective bargaining;
  • Principle 4 the elimination of all forms of forced and
    compulsory labour;
  • Principle 5the effective abolition of child labour; and
  • Principle 6 the elimination of discrimination in respect
    of employment and occupation. 

We abide by the rules set up by the provisions of forced
labor, child labor, working hours, minimum wages,
freedom of association, discrimination prohibition,
female workers and maternity protection
(Work regulations, collective agreement, labor management council)

Environment
  • Principle 7 Businesses should support a precautionary
    approach to environmental challenges;
  • Principle 8 undertake initiatives to promote greater
    environmental responsibility; and
  • Principle 9 encourage the development and diffusion
    of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-corruption
  • Principle 10 Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery. 

Through an ethical principle observance pledge, participation programs, education and promotion programs, stimulate the execution of corporate ethics.
