Support the Pediatric Hospital in Pyeongyang Medical University Hospital’

AmorePacific has supported the pediatric hospital to help sick children in North Korea by donating to the South-North Okedongmu foundation since 2008.
The fund of 0.3 billion won donated in 2008 has been sent to support children in the pediatric ward and spent in purchasing materials of production facilities, antibiotics and basic medical supplies, and medicine for incurable diseases.

The 0.3 billion won donated in 2008 was spent to build the pediatric ward of the Pyeongyang Medical University Hospital and on the 5th floor of the ward which was finished on October 24, 2008, there is “AmorePacific Sung-whan Seo Hall of Medical Education Center” to be used as a place for medical professionals of the North and the South to share their expertise and to provide education for medical professionals of the North including pediatricians.

"AmorePacific Sung-whan Seo Hall of Medical Education Center" was named after AmorePacific’s founder Sung-whan Seo who was originally from Pyoengsan, Whanghae-do.from Pyeongsan, Hwanghae-do. In 2009, the fund of 0.3 billion won was donated to South and North Okedongmu Children’s foundation and used to support materials and production facility building for rehydration solutions.
Upon completion of the facility for rehydration solutions production, 30,000 children at the hospital will be able to be offered rehydration solutions yearly.
